E39mad
That's good mileage. I'm no where near that, on 85000 and car is almost 12 years old. Still on the original chain which doesn't rattle 🤐 Edited September 29, 2022 by E39mad

Cadwell Parker
Nowhere near the highest mileage but steadily increasing with daily use. It's up to 145000 now. I bought the car 3 1/2 years ago with 59000 on the clock. I've been really happy with it. It's had, off the top of my head, new air springs and air compressor, rear shocks, front suspension bottom arms, brake discs and pads, a new alarm siren module, a remap, a few sets of tyres and lots of oil changes. Still going really well and I'm not planning on changing it any time soon.

Oil and filter is changed every year irrespective of the mileage done which is usually around 8000 pa.

Absolutely ignore the bmw advice of 20,000 miles or two years. Half it like you do 👍
HandyAndy
Just shy of 243k km as of MoT a fortnight ago. In terms of engine systems the dpf is flagged as low life remaining. I'd love to get the inlet manifold off for a clean, although not so easy over here I changed the egr a few months back following 'cold coughing' and cleaned the front lambda, replaced the rear one. That's pretty much it. Oil and filter is done annually regardless, which combined with the ability to legally give it a good blast on the autobahn occasionally, possibly helps keep things healthy 🤞

The physical operation isn't exactly the problem. One part is the German environmental regulations... you can't do this sort of thing 'on your driveway' as you could in blighty. The other part is related to time... let's just say that we've been rather busy since late February and it's not easing up anytime soon. Thats like SNP levels of interference Do it in a garage? As in the one at a house?

My location isn't a house, doesn't have a garage available, not any kind of unobservable area 😒 You'll still get people call the polizei if they think someone may be doing something unenvironmental. I even had someone call on me when I was changing a headlamp bulb on my old e61 a few years back.... polizei wasn't interested once he saw what I was doing
