Sharkfan
Already sorted the mph thing a little with a transfer I had made up by the original Pukar decals man... In terms of reading the display a little more easily I would probably put a tiny amount of red enamel paint on the 50kmh (30mph), 80kmh (50mph) and somewhere between the 110 and 120kph (69 to 77mph) markers. I got the instructions today - it's basically take out one 51.1ohm (or thereabouts) resistor on the back of the speedo - wire in a a remote 0-100ohm variable trimpot resisitor and mount it remotely (hanging down under the dash?!), test and adjust against a GPS speedo on a flat road and then either leave the trimpot tucked out of the way or remove the trimpot and solder in some resistors to the value of the trimpot. Sounds a lot like a Maritime "set-to-work" and "Harbour Acceptance Trial" (HAT) process to me. But then most things do That is a sound engineering approach to the problem Best regards, Mick

Sharkfan
Next silly thing that I’m not quite sure about. E34 M5 saloons had a black plastic insert between the rear lights underneath the number plate - BMW ///M couldn’t be arsed to make one for the M5 Touring so they got a flat black sticker instead - luckily someone invented 3D printing and sometimes Etsy got busy and made a plastic bit for E34 Tourings.
