The tyres need changing and the original 16” rims are corroding, I have found a set of 17” oem wheels with a decent set of Pirelli tyres from a 125i of a similar period. My question is should they just be plug and play aside from a slight discrepancy in the speedo (I believe it’s about 1mph off at 40mph). Going from 195/55/r16 all round to 205/50/r17 fronts & 225/45/r17 rears. Out of interest, are speedos setup based on the wheels optioned to car at the factory?! Can they be easily re-collaborated?
