Jthomp33 Posted August 21 Share Posted August 21 Hi all, I have a 1994 E34 540i which has a brake master cylinder that is leaking slightly (and holding up my MOT). Oddly enough, the brake master cylinder (34311163924) is NLA. My only options seem to be: Find a used one (which has proven difficult) Rebuild the existing unit. There are rebuild kits online by FRENKIT and I have a US Forum member who clarified a few gasket and seal sizes, but not sure where to go from here. Are there any rebuild companies in the UK (only moved here a few years ago) or any forum members have any E34/E32 breaking cars which have a compatible unit Thanks in advance! ~JT Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Sir Anthony Regents Park Posted August 29 Share Posted August 29 I saw your post on Bimmerforums and then inevitable brain fart replies by AlanG and co.😂 You may find the leak is from where the plastic reservoir meets the alloy cylinder. This can be cured by using a cable tie to compress the reservoir down into the cylinder. I've had this in the past and new seals never cures it.
