What to do with LCI halogen head lights - not bright enough

I tried fair few LEDs in dipped and high beam, none of them were impressive in longer distance.

Took my car to MOT test with my hid kit installed (all ballasts and wiring is hidden completely underneath headlights) and it passed without any issues. And no, I didn't know anyone in that garage either, so it wasn't friendly mot tester.

They hardly pull you up on this type of thing Kate, just if the lights are out of alignment or not. I've had modded headlights on all but 1 motor in my time and been to 20+ different MOT garages and never been pulled on that even with Ballasts showing.

Most have no way of knowing if it was a factory option or not, so they don't bother.

True, if beam pattern is clear and correct, bulb colour isn't something stupidly blue, and they are fitted in projector headlights, I can't see anything wrong with hid/led bulbs.

Plus I went another step ahead and retrofitted headlight washers, so it all looks pretty much original.
