Aftermarket TPMS?

Recommended Posts

Am about to press the trigger and get a set of 18"s to run all season tyres in the winter on the G31.

Obviously want TMPS on the wheels and rather than paying around £175 for OEM ones has anyone had success with aftermarket ones such as these?

Whatever you buy needs to match those already fitted otherwise the module will not recognise them. Generic TPMS sensors will not work. On my 2017 G32 these are the parts: 36106887146 and they are 315mHz. Realoem stopped updating in 2019 so I can't see your car's parts list to see whether there's been an update since.

Thanks both.

Decided to go for the Autodoc ones at just over £100 delivered. Shall see if they work!

Managed to get some 18" style 662M alloys (ferric colour) from ebay and Marketplace for under £400 - shall still a set of new Goodyear Vector4 All seasons from Asda tyres (cheapest by some margin) who use local well known fitters.

Are the all-seasons for the 18" winter wheels? Why not put a decent set of winter tyres on as you will now have 2 sets of wheels?

Yes all seasons for the 18"'s because we are driving down to Southern Spain in January for a month and don't want to run winters in 20 degree heat. I previously ran all seasons on the F11 all year round and they did a great job in the winter snow - whilst not quite as good as full winters (had them before) they cope with snow on our steep driveway. Most of the time it's just wet in the winter here and I don't commute so don't need full winters.
