olliecampbell
Hi all, I've just bought a used aircon compressor off our favourite online auction site from a well known breaker. I was after a Denso 447260-3211 as per the sticker on the existing one. I can't see the BMW part number on it. The auction listed the unit as '64509180547' so in theory compatible with my car, but a different Denso compressor has turned up. A 447260-157X (can't see the last number on the sticker). Will this replacement part fit on the current pipes and mount and will it work when plugged in? Or have I made an expensive mistake?
Ray112
Try looking into realOEM for part numbers. It might be that one is from older car another from newer, so different part numbers, but retrospectively they are exchangeable.
olliecampbell
I tried....and I don't know if its because I've drunk too much whisky but I couldn't work out what I needed! :D For my VIN there's 2 different pages for the compressor: https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/showparts?id=PX72-EUR-03-2009-E61N-BMW-530d&diagId=64_2554 which states part no 64509180547 OR 99992472027 or: https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/showparts?id=PX72-EUR-03-2009-E61N-BMW-530d&diagId=64_1484 which states part no 64509180547 only. 64509180547 looks to be the latest part number...released from 2008 onwards. Mine is a 2009 car so should have this part number....but the Denso part numbers don't match! Confused.
