E39Man
I sold the best car I ever owned a couple of years ago because it wasn’t Ulez compliant. Recently saw it listed for sale saying it’s now Ulez compliant? checked it out myself on TfL’s website and it’s true. Why and how?
Kopfjaeger
The obvious answer is they made some modifications, or tweaks and got it inspected by VOSPA(?). An expensive exhaust upgrade, or Cat, or tuning, or combination...? If the mods brought it in line with Euro IV standards, I believe VOSPA can update the V5, etc. Engines can be tuned for speed or economy, etc.

My E46 330ci with the same engine showed ulez compliant from when I got it over 2 years ago.
duncan-uk
Assuming its petrol?
E39Man
Yep petrol. Really weird because a couple of years ago I received a letter or email from TfL saying it wasn’t compliant - One of the main reasons for me selling it. Anyway, now have an X5 😎
