Mpgscott Posted December 29, 2022 Share Posted December 29, 2022 My Ista-d stopped working, managed to get it working again on my k-can usb cable on my 2005 535d but the enet cable won’t work. Anyone any idea why enet won’t work? I used to simply swap the settings over in Ista to switch between usb and Ethernet for the 2018 X5. Mpgscott Posted January 12, 2023 Author Share Posted January 12, 2023 (edited) Sorted, after loads of messing around it turned out to be my Ethernet port had failed on the laptop. It was flashing and all looking ok but i decided to revert back to dynamic and plug into router and the thing wasn't bloody working. I must of spent half a day fecking around taking software off and reinstalling and buggering around. Couldn't understand why the USB obd lead worked. Used one of the wee usb eth adapters and its working. Bloody thing. Suppose the take away is no matter if it all looks ok check the simple things first..
