Was always popular before so lets start again, no rules just anything but your BMW5 you can post those elsewhere!

Here's mine to start, today I took a stroll along the Thames with some very good friends. Breakfast in Westminster, took in the covid wall and had a chat with some of the volunteers 😢 If you get chance have a look and then turn your anger over the river...

Few beer stops on way and ended up at Canary Wharf for dinner. Its close to me but I forget what a great city London can be.

This is Alfie, a Border collie that we took on following his master Tony, our father in law, passing earlier last year. He is 13 years old, so no spring chicken, but have known him all his life. He has settled in well, soft as a brush, apart from when the Postman comes.

The helicopter was owned by Fiordland helicopters who were instrumental in helping find and ferry crew to locations in the Shadowlands area to film Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit in the Southernmost area of the South Island of New Zealand. They also collaborated with the LOTR cinematographers to film a 30 minute short film called Ata Whenua (The Shadowlands) to showcase the natural beauty of the area.

We were lucky enough to book them for a 90 minute flight (which turned into 2 hours) during which the pilot asked if we wanted to stretch our legs - we thought he’d find a reasonable flat low field to land in but no, he popped us down in a peak about 20 feet wide and with pretty much sheer 2,500ft drops into the sea.

The area is truly epic in scale and beauty and I sadly bore people when watching LOTR by telling them the background is not CGI, it’s just New Zealand.

Many of you will invariably yawn but my mate and I took our wee girls on their inaugral trip to Lords, had a nice picnic and saw 45 minutes of play. Saw 5 wickets including Tim Murtagh take his 1000 wicket and a magnificent 6. Makes me happy.

Not typical car forum stuff but I thought it worth sharing. Taken this morning on the dog walk on a precarious slope with a potato camera so apologies for the poor quality. Lepidoptera jackpot, pretty much extinct in Britain for over 40 years and I find one 100m from home. It’s a Large Blue.
