PZero Posted November 21, 2022 Share Posted November 21, 2022 (edited) Chanced upon this on the 'tube. French motoring channel, who seem to like using older BMWs for testing (usually destructively). In this particular case, stacking an E39 touring into a concrete wall at 90MPH odd, driven by remote control through a VR headset. That's one helluva crumple zone. Glancing through their other videos, I also see remote control E39 and E38 racing via Playstation controllers, E39 handbrake testing at 80MPH and an E46 being driven over a stinger and then hooned around to see how long until the tyres go, and then how long you can drive on rims. As it's all in French, the first 16 minutes of prep are wasted on me, link is directly to the main event...
