  1. I go by the B pillar sticker and what the TPM shows on iDrive. The TPM recommended tyre pressure on iDrive changes with temperature so I go by the B pillar sticker first.
  2. I had a look online for my 2017 520d on 44k miles, over £1200 with £100 excess or £953 with £250 excess. A bit too steep for me at present.
  3. Very limited choice, yes. I’ve always found Camskill good for tyres but even they come up short with this size. I use my original 18” wheels for winters, and the choice for 18” 275 rears was also very poor, both for winters and cross climates. So much so, that I bought another two front wheels and use a square setup for winter. As an aside, some will say that BMW only recommends square setups for winter use, and could account for the lack of choice -particularly OE. The tyre pressure sticker on the b pillar also suggests that. I’ve not found that to always be the case, although it does make sense. The choices of tyres are much better with same size all round, and you can still fit front sized tyres to wider rear wheels, although they don’t look great, so you may want to try the same with your 19” wheels or buy another two front wheels, although not ideal if you want to use this all year round. I may look at cross climates next time (still only for winter use) as our winter weather temperatures nowadays are too up and down for proper winter tyres.
  4. My number 1 tip for CarPlay is don’t bother with it, honestly.
  5. You should notice a nice difference between this and the F11, along with some familiarity which I like about my G30.
  6. Yeh I think it was along those lines how it happened, whilst in auto and switching themselves to the fastest speed. Completely agree, the auto sensing is horrendous, no rhyme nor reason as to why they choose the speeds and intervals that they do. The bulletin suggests a control software fault which can’t be resolved and requires motor replacement, but you would think it wouldn’t be mechanically possible for them to do that unless a wiper blade was too large.
  7. Could be looking at a new motor according to this. Anyone else has this issue? https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2017/MC-10136725-9999.pdf
  8. Whilst on the road yesterday during some moderate rain, my wipers started behaving very strangely, with the driver side wiper whacking the A pillar, as it was going too far over to that side. I think this was when they were going up to full speed. This went on for a few seconds, I stopped the wipers for a second or so, then they went back to normal. I can’t think what was happening there.
  9. I think it’s part of the camera assembly. It may be listed as an error code when you check for errors with ISTA, which should then give you an option to calculate test. It should then take you through any steps required to resolve it hopefully.
