  1. Just reporting back on this issue. Replaced the blower regulator and issue was fixed, thanks again @Matthew
  2. Thanks @Matthew, I'm abroad for a couple of weeks. Will get on to this when i get back and report progress then. Hopefully, that'll fix it!
  3. Hi, I'm having a malfunction on my blower motor. When the engine is running, it seems to be stuck at a constant rotation, regardless of any setting i set the fan to. Air is flowing into the cabin only through the windshield vents. The a/c is not working as well. After i switch off the ignition, the motor keeps running. I had to remove the dedicated fuse (11) to prevent battery drain. When i ran an obd scanner, it threw the codes attached. Has anyone ever faced this issue? Cheers,
  4. @Andrew, i'll take the risk of asking something stupid, but i'm wondering why did you not use a penetrating oil to help loosening the bolts on the tension struts?
  5. Thanks @Andrew for another informative tutorial. I'll be replacing the tension arms soon on my 520d. Will tracking need to be done on the car afterwards?
  6. Thank you for sharing your experience with Febi - it is encouraging. Could have grabbed a full brake replacement kit (pads+discs+acessories) from them for a reasonable discount to what i paid for my Pagid + Zimmerman. Will be giving them more credit the next time i'm in the market for more "sensitive" parts. Have a set of Febi control arms on the way to go into the car as well soon. Thanks again,
  7. Thanks Andrew. The difference between the two is evident there alright. The shape of my Pagids seems to be a better match to the bottom ones in your photo. I'm curious, though, have you tried those Febi's? Their brand's reputation seems to certainly be solid and I've used some of their parts myself and like their quality.
  8. Hi, I'll be changing my rear brake discs and pads and have been trying to look up the torque settings online without success. I only manage to locate settings for a 530d: Disc retaining bolt - 16NM Caliper mounting bolts - 110NM Caliper sliding bolts - 35NM I presume these will apply to my 520 as well, just double checking if you agree with my assumption? Cheers
  9. Thanks @duncan-uk, I'll follow your advise
  10. Thanks, That's kinda what I'm leaning towards. An alternative that I've seen mentioned quite frequently is the need to go through cycles of moderate and then hard braking in the beginning
  11. Hi all, Will be changing the rear brakes soon (Zimmerman rotors + Pagid pads) on my 520d. It'll be the first time i'm doing this job and am wondering what will be the right bedding procedure to follow afterwards? Thanks,
  12. Thanks @Steve84N Leaving it to 90 seems to be the general consensus definitely, from what I've read. I have an OBD2 dongle from Topdon - Topscan, that has a BMS reset feature. Already fiddled a bit with it and seems to do the trick.
  13. I'll need to replace the battery in my F10 very soon as well and will be using Bimmercode to code the new one (95A new vs 90A current one). In the app, i can only see 90A and 105A available for selection. Just wondering what selection you did at the time? I'll be using an Android phone. Thanks
