  1. Yep, used it on quite a few sets. Its really easy to apply and does seem to help the cleaning process, to the point that just blasting them with the pressure washer gives a quick fix (as long as you don't look too closely lol!)
  2. Horrendous weather, flooded roads, zero visibility trip to my MOT retest! At least it was a pass lol!
  3. I actively despise selling privately. People are always twats/liars. The only reason I sold my old 335d privately was because I was being offered 3k less to put it back into the trade, and 3k is not a small amount at 15k levels. Plus these days Autotrader is not cheap, and I found that was the only place people got in touch with me from. if the difference was negligible I’d happily pass up having to field idiots on the phone and in the flesh, and then they always want more or give you hassle afterwards.
  4. NSR coil spring replaced (as per other thread) and car was quiet on the way home, no more rear knocking! now need to get it back through the MOT
  5. Well to put this to sleep, following my MOT failure a week ago for a broken coil spring nsr (mot history showed it had also happened on osr 20k miles ago but they obviously didn’t do both sides), local garage replaced it today. The drive home was silent! Can now drive it without wondering what it is, can’t believe I missed it when I swapped the wheels, and also that the place that MOT’d it last year passed it with no comment, as it’s obviously been broken since I bought the car 🙄
  6. BMW screen wash is all I will use in any car! nice mpg! @F10-65 I can never decide if the m25 or m6 north of brum is the worst motorway in the country!
  7. Got a quote from a local garage for £185 supplied, fitted inc vat. Much more like it, and will temp fix it until I decide what I want to do with the suspension as a whole….
  8. I have done a front and rear spring change on my old 2012 Focus, back when it was about 3 years old. Even then it was a struggle with one of the rear shocks, and that was on a younger car with 30k miles on the clock. Given I don’t really have the time and mines 13 with 115k I think I’m going to leave this to the garage to fight with. They quoted 290 to do, which sounds to me a lot considering the springs are 30 quid each. Will phone around in the morning…..
  9. Having a good week 🙄 MOT fail - near side rear coil spring broken. 🤬
  10. You little beauty….. finally working all properly. All 4 sensors preprogrammed from eBay, brand new, worked first time and only £67 quid. Durosense, really quick service too.
  11. Pirelli are crap next to Goodyear and Michelin imho. Tyre Reviews never place them that well. Also, as detailed in the other thread, the Pirelli Cincurato that came on my replacement wheels failed epically at being a run flat, may as well just have had a normal tyre anyway. This is not the experience I’ve had with other run flats (Bridgestone/goodyear) wifes Tiguan came on Hankook Safeseal, had no idea they had a nail in them because they just carried on as normal. That said their sidewall condition at just 5 years old is terrible (very badly cracked)
  12. I went eagle f1 none rft. I live in Hampshire, if I was a lot more north I’d probably fit cross climate or equivalent. you can do the fronts first then the rears as long as not mixing across axle. I just had them all changed. and lastly, imho avoid Pirelli.
  13. Got a cheap repair kit from Amazon so in the pouring rain this morning got the rear wheel off and brought inside. Repaired the puncture and limped to Halfords. It held up great! Also removing the tyre I wasn’t too upset at having to change as they were getting quite close to the wear markers anyway…. Drove home on the non Run Flats (I already have a tyre Slime kit in the boot anyway) and the ride improvement was immediately noticeable. Not fussed about not having run flat functionality as it failed epically on Tuesday - so for info Pirelli Cinturato suck as an rft.
  14. Ordered up 2 x Eagle F1 Assymetric 3 for the rears and 2 x Eagle F1 Assmetric 6 for the fronts, couldn’t get the same front and rear from anywhere to be fitted in decent time. Being fitted at Halfords on Saturday, just hope the TPMS arrive on time. wanted to use Costco (assy 3 and assy 5) but couldn’t get an appointment until September, Halfords was 50 quid more (15% off 4 tyres at mo, plus signed up to the motoring club so got an additional 5% off as well as £10 voucher off and a free MOT, which I need next week anyway, so on the whole roughly equal on price taking all that into account)
  15. Trip to Screwfix for some £6 sealant ends up costing rather a lot more 😡 Screw fixed me up good and proper 😡 Need to finally sort getting correct TPMS sensors, and switching to non rft…..
