  1. The difference to me is Night and Day, the car feels more planted on the road, steers easier, less body roll and remains flatter under acceleration and hard braking (even felt the rear brakes for the first time under heavy braking). Car feels more agile, controllable and planted on the road. Having had standard suspension with standard then H+R springs definitely worth the investment if you intend to keep the car or enjoy driving quickly.
  2. BMW now complete, next steps if and when finances allow would be PURE Stage 2 Turbo and some new rims. Otherwise with 425hp and 580nm it is more than sufficent at present

  3. Upgraded the suspension to a B12 Bilstein set and new bump stops and dust covers on rear shocks. Noticeable difference in how the car now rides a lot flatter on acceleration and braking as well as through the bends.
  4. Not touching the engine already at Stage 2+, this is a treatment for the gearbox that gets added when the gearbox is serviced. See link: https://gearsolutions.com/features/carbon-coatings-for-transmission-components/
  5. It is a Stage 3 tune on the gearbox, definitely makes a difference.
  6. Gearbox being serviced next week including Carbon treatment car now has 61000 miles. being serviced by same "Edge Performance " in Birkenhead who did my tune on engine and gearbox.
  7. I just replaced my front shocks got them from Autodoc, Blistein B6 were £132 each.
  8. update: Pump motor was working but not pushing air, replaced entire pump assembly on the rear and new shocks on front, car now rides as good as new.
  9. Fitted new Airbags 500 miles ago, car is hardly driven long distances at present.
  10. quick update, now the rear suspension has collapsed and won't raise (I can hear the pump running).
  11. Anyway driving along normally, hit a small indentation in road (not a pot hole), Heard a loud thud then whole car proceeded to bounce along for a few meters, slowed car down was only doing 30mph at the time. Then accelerated, car fine since although feels a touch bouncy every now and again (not as bad as 1st time). Car has standard MSport suspension with H+R springs. I would of understood sensation if car had comfort suspension fitted but it doesn't. Car is a 2015 BMW F11 535i I suspect faulty shock/s or broken spring. Any Ideas? Don't suppose this has any bearing but rear wiper packed up 2 days prior, new motor on order.
  12. Have now had car 4 years and decided it needed more power, 53000 miles cold start off (for the neighbours) Also found car had a lot of extras I wasn't aware of. Stage2 engine + Stage3 Gearbox = 420hp 480lb/ft
  13. Love my 535i, though no longer standard, I average 23 - 25mpg around town can get upto 35mpg on highway. Mine is a F11. I didn't buy for economy,
  14. When I acquired the car in 2018 it came with Pirelli Run Flats, I replaced them with a set of Nokian Weatherproof which was the top all season tyre at the time.
