  2. @HandyAndynice work, I think I will be going the same route not sure when but I am sure in the next year or so probably. How many miles does it have? Also is it EU6? Mine is registered March 2013 and is EU5 still, and I think it was phased in until the end of 2014 so would be interesting but as Matthew states there is still a market for them! The only decision I have is if I go 530d or 540i (I am leaning towards latter, as my mileage per annum is pretty low, so why not enjoy it more with some extra beans... oh and diesel is slowing dying out I guess 😞)
  3. Be good to get a rubber mat that fits though! 😆
  4. That F11 has needed quite a bit of work done to it since he got it? Is he still pleased with it?
  5. New tyre fitted (NSR) and my plug worked a treat and held pressure since it happened 4days ago. I know it can be driven as its a RFT but I still prefer this then running on zero pressure. As a lot of you do EU trips not a bad thing to keep in the car for emergencies and also if you are running tubeless road bike/MTB tyres 😁: https://muc-off.com/products/puncture-plug-repair-kit?variant=31162136789090
  6. My first puncture in just coming up to five years owning the car local journey and it must have gone straight down as dash told me to stop carefully, not bad but shame as 4mm left on tread! Got it off the car and a nice big puncture hole as you can see. New tyre ordered and tried out plugging it (thought nothing to lose) with my MTB Muc Off kit, will check tomorrow to see if its held pressure but at least it will get me to the garage to get the new one fitted. 20240707_112159.mp4
  7. Yes (very simple job, max 2hrs both sides, I used the diag tool to deflate/reinflate) and no, there is no need to calibrate it as the ride height sensors are not touched.
  8. I fitted Arnotts A2780 air bag back in 2020 around 50k miles since and its been perfect at the back, no height issues and all sits as it should. I would never put a cheap version of a part on my car, especially not a suspension item. If you are going to keep the car I would advise investing more here: Autodoc £340 https://www.autodoc.co.uk/arnott/13243669?_gl=1*1hrb8la*_up*MQ..&gclid=CjwKCAjwm_SzBhAsEiwAXE2Cv-_mZreqEL0OllqDBMwFwRCwxwQ3wvrzuOwXLrGgN838g6YBptxQuhoCxWwQAvD_BwE
  9. I have had many cars with AC, not one have I touched/serviced/regassed etc and I have owned them for 5-8yrs+ each. For me if its not getting cold or not working for sure fix it, but if its blowing cold to touch leave it alone. I have always run it "Auto" all year round on all cars.
  10. @Andrew have you fitted the centre caps yet? mine all done now as well as full tyre/wheel clean not perfect but pretty good considering they were refurbed 4.5yrs ago. The centre caps I bought are definetly not as premium to hold but they fit well although much more flush to the wheel centre. In general though tidy up the wheel look no end. Just wondered if yours were the same?
  11. I would suggest a proper diagnostic (BMW Tool ISTA for example) on that, as the DPF has many faults associated with it. If its driving ok then it cannot be too serious as the serious one (blocked DPF) will cause it to go into limp home. Could just be a sensor for the DPF system failing, or something up stream causing the issue from engine side of things.
  12. @F10-65 I had mine done back in 2021 by Maidstone BMW dealership (where I assume you went), they repainted full four doors as far as I am aware (for sure used cutting compound/polish on the whole panel as it was soft to touch even at the bottom where tar is normally embedded in the paint) and made a very good job of it, this was at no cost to me they had it for 1.5weeks. I was very pleased and glad I had it done, yes you can see that the paint is different finish between front wing (original) and door but its negligible and my paint Sophisto Grey seems to not be a colour where its very noticeable for sure lighter colours it can be a different story.

  14. Well done, I have only every changed air bags so far and I assume if I keep mine compressor/valve block etc will come at some point
  15. It would be better to get it diagnosed properly before you go down the path of question 1 as its expensive, but a starter would be to connect to car with dongle or a diagnostic machine and check/clear the fault code in the first instance to see if it comes back also check fuse(s). The TMS modules are renowned for becoming water clogged, from sitting water was this the problem with yours? Then question 2 is definetly a "no" you will directly fail any MOT with that setup as its not as per design, see below URL for information. https://www.passmefast.co.uk/resources/rules-of-the-road/driving-law/led-headlights
